THE SMALL ISLANDS` JEWELS ROUTE

Day 1: Saturday / SUMPETAR – PUČIŠĆA

From Sumpetar, we are staring with cruise to the island Brac, to small town Pučišća…
PUČIŠĆA is the biggest Brač settlement with genuine Mediterranean features, creating with its white roofs the original local atmosphere. Situated on the north coast of the island of Brač, its mild climate makes this place ideal for a vacation throughout the whole year. This place is used to the sound of the pick in the fields, to the disobedient oar during the wind and the heavy iron rods and hammers that cut the stone in Pučišća’s quarries.
Pučišća is the houses and the church, the waves, the wind and the solitude. The solitude which is unique, island-like, heavy, yet only a few miles away from the rest of the world.

 

Day 2: Sunday / PUČIŠĆA – SUĆURAJ

Sucuraj is a small town grateful for tourists. Near the centre of the town there are two beaches, on the south side is a sand-bedded Cesminica, on the north side pebble Bilina. Near Sucuraj there are many beautiful and pictureful bays.
The island Hvar is famous for pleasant Mediterranean climate and the biggest number of sun-hours. Sucuraj is one of the sunniest and hottest places on the island with an isolation of more than 2700 hours o year. A very mild climate, bathing from may to November, and for the braver all year long. Summers in Sucuraj are very dry, warm and long, summer-winds maestral and tramontana refresh you during those sunny days.

 

Day 3: Monday / SUĆURAJ – KORČULA

Korčula is situated on the end of the island, it’s an exquisite example of a well preserved, fortified medieval town. It is located on an islet (3 hectares area) which was later connected to the rest of the island east. I bid you good night with traditional MOREŠKA dance!

 

Day 4: Tuesday / KORČULA – VELA LUKA

Vela Luka is a place with 4500 inhabitants is situated in a deep, picturesque bay in the west of the island of Korčula. It’s known for its friendly hosts, Dalmatian song, mild climate and crystal clear sea and air.

 

Day 5: Wednesday / VELA LUKA – HVAR

Hvar is the king of the island-towns, according to many the most beautiful posh place for a night out, nevertheless it’s a town full of historical heritage; The town with the oldest theatre in Europe. It is situated on the south-west coast of the island in a beautiful bay protected by the Pakleni islands. Once town of stormy history today Hvar is one of the most visited and most important tourist centres of the Adriatic.

The oldest European theatre, the Fortress, the Arsenal, the Town lodge, the cathedral, the Franciscan monastery, are some of the sights that will dazzle you with their beauty and take you back in time when Venetia, Austria or Napoleon were governing Hvar. But Hvar is not only about sights. It is also a port open to the sea and the Pakleni islands, it is a unique climate suitable for healing, it is its beaches and restaurants, clubs,. that have been a glowing tourist centre for almost a century and a half!

 

Day 6: Thursday / HVAR – STOMORSKA
Stomorska was constructed as the port of Gornje Selo and is considered the oldest costal settlement on the island. Stone houses, yards, alleys and stairs up the nearby hills, are interwoven by the harmonious architecture into the sides of a deep gulf at the bottom of which is the old core of the place. The port is always full of life, of that well-known Dalmatian murmur, and in this cacophony of human voices, roar of tools, boat motors and sounds of the waves, a careful listener will hear and feel the beat of this climate.

 

Day 7: Friday / STOMORSKA – SUMPETAR

A  pleasant dinner with the Captain’s family…

 

Day 8: Saturday / SUMPETAR

Breakfast is served on board. The check-out time is until 9:00 am.
